Accessibility
This site should work for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, or their browser's zoom and text-size controls.
What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. The site is plain by design — text, one form, and a couple of tables, with no images, video, carousels, or pop-ups — which keeps it usable across a wide range of devices and assistive technologies.
What that means in practice
- Every page uses proper headings and landmark regions, and starts with a "skip to content" link for keyboard and screen-reader users.
- All interactive elements can be reached and operated with the keyboard, and show a visible focus outline.
- Text colours are chosen to meet AA contrast, in both the light and dark themes your device may set.
- The layout reflows and remains readable when you zoom in or enlarge text; nothing depends on colour alone.
- The form field is labelled, and the only content that relies on a table (the self-experiment log) is also described in words.
Known limits
This is a small site maintained by one person, not a company with an accessibility team. There may be issues we haven't caught. If something here doesn't work for you, that's a problem we want to fix — please tell us.
Tell us about a barrier
Email info@starvingafterbreakfast.com and describe what you were trying to do, what got in the way, and the assistive technology or browser you were using if you know it. We will do our best to respond and to fix genuine barriers promptly.
